Freedom and Fire

“Freedom and Fire Fest”

Fairgrove, Mi

07/04/20

“So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.”
John 8:36

After we received the tent, we made a few phone calls and were connected with a sister in Christ, Jo Thomas in Fairgrove, Michigan.  We had already been meeting previously with Jo and were connected through another ministry.  She shares a kindred heart to see Revival in her city so it was a perfect fit.  She owns a lot directly across from her Restaurant in downtown Fairgrove, which was the perfect spot for us to pitch the tent.  Fairgrove is a small city, but the Revival made a lasting impact on the community as the residents talked about it for over a year afterwards.

Brothers and sisters in Christ came from all over the State of Michigan for this event.  Justin, Candace, Jeff and Wendy are from Saginaw.  Verlin and Linda are from Clare.  Denise, Michele and Terry are from the Sault Ste. Marie.  Jo is from Fairgrove.  Sam is from Lake.  Nathan and Candace are from Cadillac.

Healing is for today

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.” Hebrews 13:8

While we were setting the tent up on Friday afternoon, a lady came by in her amigo.  She was asking what was going on, why we were setting up the tent and what we were doing in her city.  I explained to her that we would be having a Tent Revival there tomorrow and she was more than welcome to come.  She mentioned that she probably wouldn’t be able to make it because of the pain she deals with every morning in her legs.  We laid hands and prayed for her and told her to come back tomorrow to testify that the Lord healed her.  She was the first person to show up for the Tent Revival!

During our first ever “Healing Service” we had many people come forward for prayer.  Sometimes when we pray, we don’t see immediate results, which was the case for one man who came to the revival. We laid hands and believed for his healing.  He was dealing with an infection in his stomach and was dealing with dialysis.  We didn’t see a creative miracle that day, however, a year later I seen the man in a local coffee shop in Saginaw.  He mentioned that he was “doing much better” and stopped the dialysis since the Tent Revival!  Hallelujah Jesus!

Children Activities

A key piece to the Tent Revivals is making sure the children are having fun, growing in the Lord and spending time with each other.

Serving the Community

Though it seemed small in size, we know the Lord doesn’t care about the quantity – He looks more at the quality.  We had no idea what we were doing, we just knew that we needed to do SOMETHING.  July 2020 was smack dab in the middle of the COVID pandemic.  We know that the Lord called us to go out and be lights to the world and bring hope where it seemed hopeless.  There wasn’t a huge crowd that showed up, but it strengthened and encouraged every single person that came and also for our own team to be able to step out in faith and become “doers of the word”.

Fruit

The seeds planted from this Revival ended up producing amazing fruit down the road.  We were connected with an important and special piece to the Kingdom Fire Family – Ms. Robbi Schmenk.  She was brought to us by Divine Encounter.  She was driving praying to the Lord one day, asking Him to be involved with street ministry.  The Lord directed her to Fairgrove, in front of Jo’s restaurant.  Robbi decided to head in for lunch.  After meeting, they both knew the Lord brought them together, she was connected to our team and has been a key asset ever since!  Isn’t God awesome!?!?
